Immediate part-time temporary opportunity - 24 hours a week (flexible schedule but 1 day must be Monday). The ideal candidate is expected to work from October 2024 until March 2025, to cover a medical leave of absence.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for ensuring patient care records are maintained according to laws and regulations and the hospice program's policies and procedures. This position is responsible for keeping medical record information confidential and protected from loss or destruction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High School Education or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum requirement of one year experience working in an office setting. Experience in medical records highly desired.
Core Competencies:
Knowledge of medical terminology and regulations regarding medical records, confidentiality and HIPAA. Ability to demonstrate good organization and filing skills. Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others maintaining a positive attitude.
Other:
Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
