Under direct supervision of the Office Coordinator/Office Manager, the medical secretary greets and registers/check out patients. Team member will at all times, respond to patients, visitors and co-workers in a pleasant, helpful and professional manner. Team member will also answer phones and assist faxes.
QualificationsEducation & Training: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Must have either one (1) year of previous customer service experience or completed an accredited or approved Administrative Assistant program within the last 12 months
Work Orientation & Experience: Previous healthcare or medical office experience is preferred.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to: a) maintain appropriate, professional conduct and appearance at all times, follows office dress code consistently; b) complete work in an established time frame, seek appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed or pace is slow; c) demonstrate willingness to perform other duties to assist the team effort for the benefit of the patients, physicians and fellow team members; d) consistently arrive at work on time and completes all tasks or arranges for coverage before leaving for the day or lunch; e) maintain desk and business areas in a professional, neat manner; f) proficient in Microsoft Office Professional; g) maintain confidentiality at all times; h) communicate effectively and professionally with patients, physicians, team members, customers, and vendors.
