Responsibilities
This Medical Staff Coordinator provides administrative and credentialing support to the organization's medical staff, specifically assisting the departments of Anesthesia and Surgery. Key responsibilities include managing meeting logistics, supporting medical staff credentialing processes, and ensuring departmental operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Provide administrative support by scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and completing follow-up tasks for medical staff meetings.
+ Oversee the credentialing process for all medical staff members within the assigned departments, including reappointments, FPPE, OPPE, and changes in staff categories or privileges. Serve as a content expert on medical staff privilege criteria.
+ Coordinate and complete Emergency Department call schedules.
+ Process initial and annual due invoices and payments.
+ Prepare quality performance files for provider and department chair reviews, utilizing ATLAS quality data.
+ Act as a content expert for Medical Staff regulatory documents, including Bylaws, Rules & Regulations, and policies.
+ Facilitate new provider orientation, onboarding, and IT support.
+ Develop and update departmental operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and compliance.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications
Minimum
+ Minimum of (3) years of experience in a Medical Staff Services Department preferred.
+ Comparable healthcare work experience may be considered.
+ None
Preferred
+ Associates degree preferred.
+ In lieu of educational requirements previous work history and years of experience may be considered
+ Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) and/or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) Certification preferred.
Pay Range
$22.95 - $33.28 /hour
