Position Summary:

The Medical Technologist (ASCP) - Microbiology performs complex analytical procedures within the laboratory using practical and theoretical knowledge of clinical procedures and instrumentation. Phlebotomy is performed by dedicated phlebotomists at all sites.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with MT/MLS (ASCP) Microbiology certification or Associate's Degree with MLT (ASCP) Microbiology certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Epic Beaker Experience
• WellSky Blood Bank Experience
• Familiarity with current instrumentation.

• 12 Jones Hollow Road, Marlborough, CT (STAT ED Lab/ Outpatient Collection)

• Chemistry: Siemens - Advia XPT, Centaur XPT (Centaur CP at offsites), Aptio Track System; Rapid Point 500e Blood Gas Analyzers; Hologic TLiQ, Advanced Instruments Micro Osmometer.
• Hematology: Sysmex - XN 3100 Automation Line, SP-50 Stainer, DI-60 CellaVision, XN-550 (at offsites); bioMerieux Vidas, Bio Rad D-100 HbA1c Analyzer, Alcor iSED ESR Analyzer.
• Microbiology: bioMerieux - Vitek II XL, Virtuo; Hologic Panther, Cepheid GeneXpert (Xpress at offsites), Advanced Instruments Anoxomat anaerobic chamber
• Urinalysis: Sysmex UF-5000 (UN-2000 with Clinitek Novus), Clinitek Status
• Blood Bank (Core Lab Only): Ortho Vision
