Summary
Performs clinical laboratory tests, procedures, experiments and analyses to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease; performs specimen procurement as appropriate; processes specimens; documents and reports test results; performs quality control and quality assurance functions; communicates with all customers.
Minimum Qualifications
Must meet one of the following:American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS), or equivalent registry. If not registered, but eligible for ASCP or ASCLS registration, must sit for the required exam within 6 months of hire and pass the exam and become registered within 12 months of hire.Completion of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) program resulting in a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree.Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or related science and three years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
