Job Summary: The Concession Tent Runner is responsible for ensuring that concession tents are adequately supplied with necessary items throughout events. This role involves transporting supplies, maintaining inventory, and assisting in the setup and breakdown of concession areas to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport supplies to and from concession tents as needed to ensure they remain stocked during events.
- Monitor inventory levels at concession tents and communicate with the Concessions Manager to replenish stock as necessary.
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of concession areas, including arranging supplies and equipment.
- Ensure that all supplies are handled and stored according to sanitation and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in storage and concession tent locations.
- Assist concession workers with additional tasks as needed to ensure efficient service.
- Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Follow all health and safety regulations while performing job duties.
- Operate utility carts or other equipment safely and responsibly when transporting supplies.
- Communicate effectively with concession staff and management to address any supply issues promptly.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner that generates a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environment.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and supply logistics.
- Ability to lift and transport heavy items as needed.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food and beverage or event industry.
- Familiarity with concession operations and inventory management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety standards related to food and beverage service.
Rate of Pay: $14.00 per hour plus tips. This position typically works a 35-hour work week.
