Job Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated and empathetic Physician Assistant with a background in mental health to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical foundation, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for providing exceptional care to individuals facing mental health challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to determine diagnoses and formulate treatment plans.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Prescribe and manage medication regimens, monitoring patient responses and making adjustments as necessary.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment planning.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the state of [State].
- Experience or interest in mental health and psychiatry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
