Mercy Health Springfield Regional Cancer Center in Springfield, Ohio has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practice Clinician – Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the team at the Mercy Health Springfield Cancer Center.
*Details/Highlights: *
* Two positions available - Springfield, Ohio & Urbana, Ohio
* Support medical oncology and infusion efforts. Comfort with infusion protocols is a plus!
* Work closely with current providers (board certified/eligible physicians & the interdisciplinary team) to extend high quality patient care, active treatments, and survivorship initiatives.
* Opportunity to participate in a 3-month training program through _The James Cancer Center._
* Oncology and genetics experience preferred but not required.
* Great communication skills and a passion for oncology is required.
* Provide chemotherapy education, assess patients, and address urgent care needs.
* Round on patients during chemotherapy treatments.
* Mentor the nursing triage team, serve as the first point of contact during medical emergencies.
* A comfort with practice in small cities and rural medicine
* Strong mentorship available
* Telemedicine and E-Visits
