Job Summary
The Mid-Level Help Desk Technician will provide technical support to employees across the organization, ensuring efficient and effective use of IT systems and equipment. This role will require a basic understanding of box manufacturing processes, IT systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
Key Responsibilities
· Troubleshooting and Support:
o Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to hardware, software, and network equipment.
o Provide remote and on-site support to employees, assisting with software installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to box manufacturing equipment, such as printers, scanners, barcode scanners and production software.
· IT Systems Administration:
o Assist in the administration and maintenance of IT systems, including servers, network infrastructure, and user accounts.
o Monitor system performance and identify potential issues proactively.
o Implement security measures and best practices to protect sensitive company data.
· User Training and Support:
o Develop and deliver training sessions on new IT systems and applications.
o Provide ongoing technical support and guidance to employees.
o Create and maintain user documentation and knowledge base articles.
· Vendor Management:
o Coordinate with IT vendors to resolve hardware and software issues.
o Manage IT contracts and renewals.
o Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the communication and integration of machine systems with existing IT infrastructure.
· Project Coordination:
o Participate in IT projects, providing technical expertise and support.
o Assist in the implementation of new IT systems and processes.
· Forklift Computer Troubleshooting:
o Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to forklift computers and their associated peripherals.
o Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, including communication errors, sensor malfunctions, and remote access failures.
o Provide remote and on-site support to forklift operators and maintenance staff.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· 3-5 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong understanding of IT systems, including hardware, software, and networks.
· Knowledge of box manufacturing processes and related equipment.
· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
