We're seeking an innovative, detail-oriented, and experienced Millwork Designer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who has a passion for design and a keen understanding of the manufacturing process. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for creating detailed millwork designs that meet our clients' specifications and needs. You will be working closely with our manufacturing and project management teams to ensure the successful execution of projects. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your skills and expertise to a role where you can make a significant impact.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and design detailed millwork drawings for manufacturing using AutoCAD, Microvellum, Mozaik, Autodesk, Inventor.
2. Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand their design needs and translate them into functional and aesthetically pleasing millwork designs.
3. Review and modify designs as per client feedback and ensure all designs meet the required specifications and quality standards.
4. Coordinate with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are feasible and can be efficiently produced.
5. Monitor the production process to ensure the final product matches the design and meets the quality standards.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies in the millwork industry to continually improve the quality of work.
7. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met.
8. Provide technical guidance and support to the junior design team as needed.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in millwork design, specifically in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficient in AutoCAD, Microvellum, Mozaik, Autodesk, Inventor, and other relevant design software.
3. Extensive knowledge of woodwork, casework, and millwork drafting.
4. A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
5. Exceptional attention to detail and a strong ability to visualize in 3D.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome design challenges.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
9. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
