Mobile Fit Instructor - Cleveland, TN - YMCA

As a Mobile Fit Instructor, you will develop and implement YMCA Mobile Fit curriculum with small groups of children and teens in neighborhood schools, churches, or community centers

during after school programming hours.

Responsibilities:

• Pick up and transport meals and supplies to be used at various sites. Pick up would be at Chattanooga J.A. Henry branch each Monday. Sites will be in Cleveland.
• Serve bagged bulk meals to each child according to the USDA and YMCA program guidelines, ensuring they receive the appropriate number of items at each pick up site time and day.
• Maintain positive relationships with youth, parents, and other staff, modeling relationship building skills in all interactions.
• Adhere to all programmatic and YMCA policies and standards
• Attend staff meetings and required trainings
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation according to USDA and YMCA guidelines, including weekly paperwork returns
• Adapt to changing conditions and priorities of the program
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be 17 years of age or older
• A valid driver's license is required
• Reliable transportation required (job requires driving)
• Prior experience working with diverse populations of children/youth preferred

Physical Demands:

• Sufficient agility and mobility to perform essential functions of the job
• Ability to participate in activities in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings and various temperatures

Training:

• CPR, First Aid & AED required within the first 30 days of employment
• New Employee Orientation required within the first week of employment
• Child & Adult Food Care Program (CFCP/SFSP) Certification required within the first week of hire
