JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description: Veit is on the leading edge of
construction technology use in the civil construction industry, this
position plays an important role to keeping our crews and grade control
equipment constructing our projects with accuracy and efficiency. This
position also supports our estimating teams performing take-offs and
providing quantities in the bidding process for earthwork and
underground utilities. Attention to detail, organization, and
communication will be key qualities that will make someone successful in
this position. This position will promote a remote OR office work
environments. A Day in the Life Produces 3D models of site plans for use
in GPS Machine Control and site staking/layout equipment. Identify
conflicts in design data for early resolution. Strong understanding and
working knowledge of civil and commercial construction drawings/plans.
Maintain standard data workflow process. Prepares project take-offs for
estimating teams in both our earthwork and utility groups. Prepares
conducted surveys for earthwork quantity reporting and as-builts.
Produce quantity reports for project managers and site superintendents.
Process and prepares 3D point cloud drone data for earthwork quantities
to project teams. Highly organized data structure and attention to
detail. Communicate with team on project updates. Other projects or
duties as assigned by Management. What You'll Need Two years' minimum
related experience or related experience. Proficient with Microsoft
Office 365. Working knowledge of Trimble software, including Trimble
Business Center, Agtek, AutoCAD Civil 3D software suite and drone
processing software preferred. Strong oral and written communication
skills. Must clearly communicate directions and information to all
levels of management, employees, vendors, and business associates.
Speaks effectively before groups as well as individuals. Focus on
teamwork - ability to continually listen, collaborate, and communicate
among colleagues, internal customers, team partners, and exude
professionalism. Ability to pursue training and development
opportunities and show a desire to continuously build knowledge. Other
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test. Requires 8 to 10-hour
workdays Monday - Friday, and occasional weekends as needed. Physical
