Summary: Proactively works with loan officers, third party providers and borrowers to obtain documentation to move the mortgage loan from application to funding in a timely manner.          

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Reviews residential loan applications. Ensures loan documentation is complete, accurate and compliant
• Moves files through the process from application to funding
• Gathers and compiles time sensitive and confidential information from borrowers and third parties
• Works with borrowers and loan officers to make sure time sensitive deadlines are met
• Keeps informed of current trends in mortgage lending and market factors affecting mortgage lending. Ensure all compliance requirements, including credit union policies and procedures, are met
• Cross-sell credit union products and services
• Maintain a professional, courteous, and friendly atmosphere for members and co-workers
• Assist others within and outside the department as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of experience required.

Competencies: 

• A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
• Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills
• Maintains confidentiality
• Good time management skills and the ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as real estate purchase contracts, loan program guidelines, tax returns, income documentation, credit reports and preliminary title reports.

Computer Skills:             

• Basic word processing and computer skills required
• Knowledge of Encompass is helpful
