About the Job
Role:
Responsible for the preparation of periodic loan accounting reports, loan payment processing and administration; reconciliation; administration of insurances, and annual escrow analysis.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Update Tax and Insurance lines in the mortgage servicing system to maintain accurate records for delinquent non-escrow loans, obtain delinquent tax amounts in a timely manner so taxes can be paid to prevent tax sales.
- Manually request tax and insurance bills, track critical dates, and make payments if not disbursed electronically.
- Set up New Tax and Insurance Payers or make changes upon request in mortgage Servicing System.
- Update action and follow up in the mortgage servicing system.
- Import New Loans to the Mortgage Servicing system.
- Maintain mortgage portfolio by posting payments.
- Update members’ information in mortgage system.
- Process Payoffs Quote and Payoff Letters.
- Process curtailments payments, monthly billing statements, adjustments, and account research.
- Responsible for Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports.
- Prepare routine letters to members.
- Review all FHLB reporting and processes to ensure data is accurate in all systems.
- Maintain a fast-paced work environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with members, Colleagues, management, and Executive Leadership.
- Stay up to date on mortgage loan servicing processes and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service to members.
- Answer calls or written inquiries from members regarding payoffs, change of owners, loan modification, beneficiaries, and other existing loans details.
- Responsible for Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports.
- Assist with any additional tasks or projects as directed.
Performance Measurements:
1. To carry out assigned responsibilities with minimum number of errors according to established department standards.
2. To prepare reports in a timely accurate manner.
3. To ensure all data entry for loans made with zero errors.
4. To provide informed, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience - One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education - A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills - Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
