- This position requires a minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Certification in mechanical, electrical, or multi-craft apprenticeship is required.
- Minimum of 5 years industrial experience in crafts
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, water, PLC, welding, or analytical troubleshooting required.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Job Summary : The Multicraft Maintenance Tech installs, maintains, and repairs industrial equipment and facility infrastructure by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities :
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatics, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locates sources of problems by observation, using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Troubleshoots 480Vac power systems and 120Vac electrical controls.
- Uses calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments for determining dimensional data of components.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Uses electrical meters to identify voltage, current, capacitance, resistance, etc. of various types of electrical circuits.
- Able to communicate with various levels of personnel (Maintenance leadership, production leadership, and equipment operators).
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Dismantles and reassembles machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment, as directed.
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Rigs equipment for installation or relocation, as directed.
- Must be familiar with and provide all types of hand tools as required.
- Must be able to read basic blueprints to install equipment and components
- Ability to operate an industrial forklift.
- Must be able to work in varying heights up to and including 50 feet.
- Installs conduit and field wiring for all on site areas.
- Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, motors, positions sensing devices, and printed circuit boards.
- Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors.
- Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
- Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
- Possesses knowledge of robotic machinery.
- Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Skills and Abilities :
- Mobile equipment training and certification.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
