Position Overview:
We are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Nurse Aides (NAs) to join our network of healthcare professionals. As a Nurse Aide contracted through Alto Health Care Staffing, you will have the opportunity to work in diverse healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and more. This flexible role offers you the freedom to choose assignments based on your availability and preferences.
Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate and competent assistance to patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
Assist patients with eating and drinking, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
Take and record patients' vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals.
Assist with the maintenance of a clean and safe patient care environment, including changing bed linens, tidying up patient rooms, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed.
Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive and comforting atmosphere.
Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
Report any changes in patients' condition or behavior to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
Document care provided and observations made in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Completion of a state-approved Nurse Aide (NA) training program.
Previous experience as a Nurse Aide in a healthcare setting preferred.
Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a genuine desire to assist and support others.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
