NDI Manager - Spirit AeroSystems

Work Location: Kinston, NC

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead and direct NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) organizations and provides cross-functional NDT integration leadership.
• Manager of NDT personnel in multiple buildings, across multiple shifts.
• Lead and direct NDT technicians (Spirit direct, contractors or purchased services).
• Establishes, overseas, and administers processes, policies, and best practices, and determines resource requirements, acquisition, improvement plans and quality measures.
• Interfaces with other organizations, customers, and regulatory agencies to define, evaluate and communicate accomplishment of project and program priorities through all phases in the product or service lifecycle.
• Provides organizational vision and strategic plan, processes, and procedures, as well as process improvements and prevention measures.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years Management / Leadership experience.
• NDT experience in Aerospace or a Manufacturing environment.
• Knowledgeable with NDT practices (Ultrasonic, Phased Array, Pulse Echo).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively work multiple simultaneous assignments in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written skills with attention to detail.
• Must be able to work any shift, including weekends and holidays when needed.

• Excellent interpersonal skills working cross functionally across teams.
• Analytical, demonstrates ability to deconstruct requirements and prioritize accordingly.
• Exceptional time management skills.
• A focus on continuous improvement, Root Cause Corrective Action process knowledge.
• MS Office Suite skills.
• Working knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP or other customer requirements.
