Travel to job site is required.

Qualified candidates must be certified in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT)
A nondestructive testing (NDT) method of inspecting materials for flaws using soundwaves that can be electronically steered, swept, scanned, and focused. Including PAUT equipment, operation, standardization, calibration blocks, discontinuity detection and classification (Cracks, Lack of Fusion, Slag Inclusions, and Porosity).
Reporting to the project manager, the Level II Technician will be performing Non-destructive tests and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions. Level II technicians are qualified to set up, calibrate and maintain equipment. Also, able to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Level II technicians are thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the NDT method being used, and are assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of technician trainees. Level II Technicians will organize and report NDT results.

Job Responsibilities (include, but not limited to):
- Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
- Travel to client’s locations as required.
- Conduct tests to ensure quality and detect defects using NDT methods of inspection.
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to established standards.
- Apply testing criteria and evaluate inspection results in accordance with applicable specifications or standards.
- Organize and accurately report test results.
- Perform specialized inspections as needed.
- May instruct and supervise trainees.
- Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned by management .
- Interface daily with the client regarding work priorities and progress of projects .
- Actively participate in client programs, planning and strategy sessions.
- Work closely with client to identify and address issues.
- Actively participate in client safety initiatives, incident investigations, etc.
- Maintain safety, security, and compliance with all governing standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid drivers license and reliable means of transportation.
- Ability to pass near vision and color contrast eye examination.
- Have the ability to pass a general, a specific, and a practical exam in each NDT method.
- Documented experience & training hours in each Level II certification held.
- Must acquire and maintain nondestructive testing certification by passing required certification written and practical examinations.
- Ability to speak, write, and understand the English language.
- NDT Level II Certification in any method.
- VT, MT, PT, UT, RT, ET, HT, PMI Certifications are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to correctly perform assigned NDT tasks, and interpret and report inspection results.
- Capable of performing (RT / CR) Radiography & Computed Radiography.
- Ability to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
- Ability to work independently, and to organize, plan and manage time effectively to complete assignments.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to exercise judgement.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- ASNT-TC-1A required method training for each certification held.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation, and color vision.
- Moving, carrying, lifting objects in excess of 60 lbs.
- Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time.
- Work in both cold and hot climates.
- Work in or near industrial hazards.
