Job Title: NG911 - IT Security Engineer
Client: NYC OTI
Location: Hybrid: (Monday- Friday; 9-5 ET remote): with Ability to come on-site as required- at most one-week per month to location 2 MTC. Brooklyn, NY,11201
Hours: THIS POSITION WILL ALLOW 35.00 - HOURS PER WEEK. PLEASE DO NOT ASSUME THAT OVERTIME WILL BE ALLOWED.
Duration: 12 Months
Job Description:
Hybrid: (Monday- Friday; 9-5 ET remote): with Ability to come on-site as required- at most one-week per month to location 2 MTC.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
IT SEC - IT Security Engineer
" Manage security architecture and engineering integration for NG911 system.
" Perform cyber security and technical threat analysis for NG911 System.
" Evaluate security protocols for intrusion prevention using NIST 800-53 framework.
" Ensure security regulations and standards are being applied in the network system.
" Implement solutions for DNS, Email, remote access configuration, integration, performance monitoring, and security management on the Next Generation firewall 9-1-1 platforms.
" Implementation of Next Generation firewall platforms, host operating systems, applications such as LDAP and SMTP.
MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
" Demonstrate a sound understanding in the implementation of cybersecurity trends, security methodologies, and OSI model; TCP/IP stack.
" Experience designing secure networks, systems and applications with a focus on security, performance and reliability.
" Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures.
" Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems.
" Minimum 12 yrs. experience in a technical and/or business application, product, platform, or methodology.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
" Cybersecurity experience in a PSAC/PSAP environment working on NG911 systems
" One or more relevant information security and/or networking certifications such as: CISSP, Security+, Network+, CCNA, PCNSE
" Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications.
