About The Position
**Job Title:** RN - Neonatal ICU **Job Specialty:** Registered Nurse / Licensed - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** Night, 7 PM - 7 AM **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Less than 1 year, with completion of accredited/approved school of nursing and required clinical hours. Direct patient care experience preferred. **License:** Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) **Must-Have:** - Ability to optimize the use of technology to support clinical care - Basic computer skills - Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills - Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with decisiveness and composure - Excellent time management skills - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills **Job Description:** - Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation in clinical care using evidence-based practice. - Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care that reflects understanding of cultural diversity and adapts according to population-specific characteristics (e.g., age, gender, disease). - Collaborate effectively with patients and their significant others, ensuring that patient goals are the focus of care plans. - Coordinate safe and quality patient care delivery and documentation within the professional care delivery model, promoting a respectful and inclusive clinical environment. - Practice fiscal responsibility and support the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members. - Engage in performance improvement activities, research, and shared governance to promote safe and quality patient care. - Mentor and precept other professional nurses and staff members to ensure a qualified future workforce. - Uphold healthcare and organizational policies, ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, and support evidence-based practice. - Plan proactively for patient care across the care continuum and contribute to protocol and procedure development. - Support the efficient and effective use of resources. - Comply with all health system policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. **Additional Notes:** - Must be available for 3 weekend shifts within a 4-week schedule. - Required to work 2 major and 2 minor holidays.
