About The Position
**Job Title:** RN Clinical Nurse - Neonatal ICU Nights **Job Specialty:** Registered / Licensed Nurse - Inpatient **Job Duration:** 13 Weeks **Shift:** Night, 7 PM - 7 AM (3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule period, 2 major and 2 minor holidays) **Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified **Experience:** Less than 1 year; Completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with required clinical hours **License:** Registered Nurse (Single State) or Multi-state Compact **Certifications:** Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) **Must-Have:** Ability to read, write, and speak English; basic computer skills; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; ability to function in a fast-paced environment; strong critical thinking and time management skills. **Job Description:** - Serve as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team ensuring individualized, high-quality, safe patient care. - Practice in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers, supported by a shared governance model and evidence-based research. - Uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Professional Nurse Practice Act, adhering to the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards. - Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) using evidence-based practice. - Provide relationship-based patient-centered care considering population-specific characteristics. - Partner with patients and significant others, ensuring patient goals are the focus of the care plan. - Coordinate safe, quality patient care and documentation, promoting a respectful and inclusive clinical environment. - Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and support recruitment and retention of healthcare team members. - Participate in performance improvement and shared governance activities. - Complete professional competency assessments and required mandatory education. - Serve as a preceptor or mentor to ensure the presence of a qualified workforce. - Promote evidence-based practice, research, and performance improvement. - Uphold healthcare policies, procedures, and competency standards. - Participate in data collection and consult experts to address practice questions. - Plan for patient care across the continuum and support resource efficiency and effectiveness.
