- Surfactant administration beyond the initial dose.
- Administration of cardiac pressors
- PaCO2 greater than 50 on two arterial blood gases 1 hour apart
- Peripheral Arterial or Central line
- Chest tube
- Total Parenteral Nutrition Hyperalimentation
- Birth weight <1600 grams, Gestational Age <32 0/7 weeks
- Exchange Transfusion
