Responsibilities:
Pediatrix is offering a unique opportunity for a BC/BE neonatologist to join a flourishing practice at the brand new, state-of-the-art Wynn Hospital in Utica, NY.
- Private patient room Level-II NICU with approximately 200 admissions per year, an ADC of 7, and a census that can flex up to 13.
- With approximately 1,400 deliveries a year, the neonatology service attends 30% of deliveries.
- Week on / Week off schedule that affords an ideal life-work balance.
- Call from home or in-house call room allows for either local or remote living opportunities.
- Perinatology and other pediatric subspecialties are available by consult, including pediatric cardiology. ROP exams performed by retinal specialist in house.
- Unit is supported by neonatal trained speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists; pediatric-certified echo techs; and lactation consultants.
- Family medicine residents and Obstetric/gynecology residents have occasional rotations in NICU.
- Newborn nursery covered by pediatric hospitalists.

Utica is a mid-sized city in upstate New York, located in the Mohawk Valley and on the southern edge of the Adirondack Mountains. Utica itself is a diverse scenic city that offers the pleasures of both an urban and rural setting. There are a variety of big-city amenities available from eclectic restaurants to quaint festivals. Utica hosts the famous Boilermaker 15k road race and is home to the Utica Comets, the professional ice hockey team. Utica is an easy driving distance to two large cities, Syracuse and Albany, both with international airports. Outdoor activities abound in the area with plentiful lakes, rivers, trails, and mountains. The region is known for its ski resorts. Utica is surrounded by multiple colleges, including Hamilton College and Colgate University.

Compensation Range: $225,000 to $275,000 based on years of experience with bonus potential.
