We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Operations Center (NOC) Network Analyst to oversee the configuration, layout, and maintenance of our entire network. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing, providing feedback, identifying trends, and offering additional technical support to the Network Control Center. You will also research and evaluate the network using our NMS tool and recommend improvements where applicable. This role includes interacting with our customer base to provide support, status updates, and direction for ongoing initiatives. The Analyst should be well-versed in administering a heterogeneous network across multiple platforms. You will work cross-functionally with internal departments, external vendors, and the NOC team to coordinate corrective actions, resolve issues, and provide documentation and performance metrics for our deployed infrastructure.
Responsibilities
The base range for this contract position is $40 - $50 / per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The Analyst should be well-versed in administering a heterogeneous network across multiple platforms. Responsibilities
- Plan, validate, and deploy network corrective measures as needed.
- Provide network troubleshooting documentation and run books for the department.
- Continuously review all NMS and EMS systems for process improvement.
- Interface directly with customers to address chronic issues until resolution.
- Investigate and supply TRRs to customers as requested.
- Work with support and vendors to resolve complex network problems.
- Organize and drive all post-mortem meetings until resolution and closure.
- Provide weekly ticket reviews related to all NOC tickets to ensure accuracy and content.
- Perform deep-dive analysis through the NMS system to proactively identify network issues.
- Provide metrics (internal and/or customer-facing) to management as requested, related to team and network performance.
- Lead all complex change management activities.
- Provide feedback to management on process and procedural improvements.
- Direct compilation and validation of records and reports concerning network operation and maintenance.
- Effectively prioritize workload and adjust as needed to meet business needs.
- Lead by example and uphold the core values of the company.
- Always ensure a quality customer experience.
- 5+ years of network administration experience within a NOC environment, including monitoring and surveillance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage complex issues and drive action items with customers and inter-departments.
- Ability to promote cross-functional collaboration and teamwork.
- Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
- Certifications in leading networking hardware/software are a plus.
- Experience with IBM Netcool is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science or a related area is required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.
