Customer Description
Our government customer's mission is to develop and operate reconnaissance systems and conduct intelligence-related activities for U.S. National Security. The customer relies on an innovative and reliable IT solutions that enable communication within the Intelligence Community to share actionable intelligence on both mission-enabled systems and those centered on the day-to-day business aspects within the agency.
Program Description
The program provides insider threat support to reduce risks to the performance of the Agency. The program focus areas include analytical services, insider threat analysis support, counterintelligence IT architectures, counterintelligence inquiries and referent activities. Our program enables this insider threat function by providing an advanced data and analytics environment by ingesting data from multiple sources (structured or unstructured), transforming it into interpretable fragments, and allowing our engines to categorize, quantify, distill, and display results for human analysts to interpret.
Team Description
Our Insider Threat Detection program is manned by a team of system and data engineers, data scientists, software developers, intelligence analysts, and investigators that provide insider threat detection and counterintelligence services. Our team works closely with our customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. Our technology stack is built with multiple Windows and Linux environments interfacing with multi-petabyte data processing and analytic platforms - all designed, built, and maintained by our team.
What you will be working on:
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be leveraging your strong network background in a multi-vendor secure network environment. You will work closely with technical and non-technical Insider Threat Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify risks to the infrastructure and implement design controls to mitigate them. Additionally, you will collaborate with the System Engineering team to deploy new servers and participate in the design of new distributed infrastructures such as Hadoop. Your role will also include writing A&A documentation and ensuring that systems operate in accordance with these security plans. Furthermore, you will provide specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools to achieve the most efficient solution that meets business needs, including current and future capacity requirements.
What you will bring to us (Must):
- Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly
- DoD 8570.1M compliant
- Network certification preferred (e.g., CCNA)
- Bachelor's Degree in a specialized area, or equivalent, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
Would be nice if you bring the following (Highly Desired):
- Experience with Firewalls: Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks, Forcepoint StoneSoft, McAfee Enterprise Firewalls
- Experience with router/switches: Cisco ASR, HPE Comware, HPE ProCurve, Arista
- Experience with network design for Hadoop, VMware, and Windows/Linux environments
- Strong knowledge of LAN switching, VLANs, including VRFs
- Experience with deploying and maintaining network-monitoring tools such as Whats UpGold
- Working knowledge of Netflow and SNMP for monitoring the enterprise
- Experience with OSPF, OTV, STP, VRRP, LACP
- Experience with VMware vSwitches and Distributed vSwitches
- Experience with creating and updating network diagrams using tools such as Visio
Would be great if you also have (Preferred):
- Experience with COOP and datacenter failover
- Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS)
