SUMMARY
The Butter Churn Clerk responsibility is to prepare, display and promote butter items. Emphasis in this position is to consistently service customers, prepare, display, and promote butter products for maximum daily sales, gaining product knowledge and working in a safe manner while fostering the Niemann Harvest Market culture
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivers superior guest service and ensure absolute customer satisfaction
- Learns and uses the three E's: Engagement, Educate, Empowerment
- Understands the shopper's butter application and help them determine the best option for their needs
- Reads and follows recipes
- Prepares, packages, labels and inventories ingredients in the department
- Maintains NFI Sanitation and refrigeration standards, adhere to all state, local and federal health department regulations
- Maintains detailed records on product and freshness.
- Ensures product is properly stored and handled for optimal shelf life and product quality
- Cross trained in cheese products, cheese pairings and cheese accoutrements
- Follow all Health Code guidelines
- Follows all store and department policies and procedures
- Follows all safety policies and procedures: is a safety role model
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school education or equivalent
- Cheese and /or culinary experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or Associates of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Basic math concepts (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication) weights and measures

- Food Sanitation Certificate provided at store level
