SALARY RANGE: $16.00 Hourly
JOB SUMMARY: Working under supervision of the Superintendent of Custodial Services, and Night Shift Supervisor. Perform duties and routine manual labor necessary to keep campus facilities in a clean, orderly and healthy condition. Work hours 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM during regular school. Must be able to work flexible hours during school breaks, special events, and weekends, as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, strip, wax and polish floors as necessary.
- Clean sinks, toilets, drinking fountains and shower stalls with appropriate cleaning materials and correct cleaning methods.
- Dust furniture, doors and windowsills.
- Clean walls and windows.
- Collect refuse from designated areas and dispose of.
- Remove graffiti from assigned areas as needed.
- Report safety concerns and maintenance needs to supervisor.
- Report equipment malfunctions to supervisor and follow up as necessary.
- Clean off-campus facilities used by MPI as needed.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Assist with set-up/clean-up of tables, chairs, tarps, tents, etc. for school functions.
- Provide labor services to move furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Perform any duties required to support the operation and function of the School.

- Ensure that equipment/supplies are properly maintained.
- Maintain relevant knowledge of safety laws.
- Mandatory reporting of sexual abuse to law enforcement or child protective services, and Human Resources. Sexual abuse includes child molestation, any actual or alleged illegal or otherwise wrongful sexual conduct with a minor, and serial sexual misconduct, any actual or alleged illegal or otherwise wrongful sexual conduct with more than one victim; and committed by or alleged to have been committed by any perpetrator who is not a student of an included entity.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
- Have knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools and equipment used in janitorial care.
- Able to read and understand labels and instructions of cleaning materials and supplies.
- Able to perform simple mathematics calculations.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills.
- Have a service-oriented attitude and is able to work well with faculty, staff and the general public.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Our campus consists of multiple buildings on 44 hilly acres that requires walking including uphill, stairs and to fields for fire drills. May need to bend; lift; and carry items. Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s). It is important to see and hear within normal parameters and possess the ability to move about with little to no difficulty.
MENTAL DEMANDS
On a daily bases must frequently problem solve, make decisions, interpret data, organize, write, plan, and clearly communicate.
