Ifyou're looking for a healthy work environment where your efforts are valued andrewarded, this company may be a great fit for you.Responsibilities of the Non-Profit / Audit Tax Manager:· Planning, directing, and reviewing all phases of non-profit audit engagements· Planning, directing, and reviewing all phases of audit, review, andcompilation engagements for clients in other industries, which may include:construction, professional service firms, government contractors, employeebenefit plans· Applying the technical skills to perform an effective review of 990 returns.This means performing the necessary level of review to ensure that relevantissues have been identified and resolved, planning opportunities explored, andthat returns are complete and ready for Principal review· Developing relationships with engagement related personnel who are responsiblefor accounting matters· Providing research and consulting services, including coordination withclient’s other advisors· Identifying planning and consulting opportunities· Assuming certain administrative responsibilities to assist the Principals withthe overall management of the Firm· Conversing directly with clients and their advisors and serving as the primarypoint of contact· Proactively communicating with other staff on the status of projects andassistance needed· Mentoring and participating in training as a team leader· Thinking proactively about practice development to include opportunities tocross-sell to existing clients as well as identifying new clientsRequirements of the Non-Profit / Audit Tax manager:· Candidates will be a CPA with several years of progressiveCPA firm experiencein addition to some management experience. (Candidates must come from anotherCPA Firm.)· Extensive knowledge of the tax laws forForm 990· Understanding of GAAP and GAAS and have general tax knowledge· understanding of a broad range of accounting issues including those involvinghigher levels of judgment such as priority for income taxes, revenuerecognition, subsequent events, contingencies, and industry-specific issues· Knowledge of business trends· Ability to review and provide feedback on work prepared by all staff in aprofessional manner· Ability to establish a rapport and good communication with clientele· Ability to gather, organize and summarize information efficiently andeffectively· Ability to adhere to given budgets and time deadlines· Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet· Ability to manage own time and the time of others· Ability to motivate, develop and direct people as they work· Capacity to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills· Understanding of how to apply principles of logical thinking to defineproblems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions· Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail· Ability to train, orient, and mentor staffBenefits of the Non-Profit / Audit Tax Manager:· Medical Insurance· Dental Insurance· Short Term/Long Term Disability Insurance· 401(k) plan· Profit Sharing plan
