Hiring Bonus and Relocation:

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a leading hospital in Medford, OR, to find a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to lead their Emergency Services department. This is a pivotal leadership role, requiring a strong clinical background, exceptional management skills, and a passion for providing high-quality emergency care.
Responsibilities:
- Overall Management: Provide comprehensive leadership and oversight of the Emergency Department's 24/7 operations, ensuring efficient workflow, optimal resource utilization, and adherence to all regulatory standards.
- Patient Care Excellence: Champion a patient-centered approach, fostering a culture of compassion, safety, and continuous quality improvement within the Emergency Department.
- Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop a highly skilled and motivated team of nurses and support staff. Provide ongoing training, performance evaluations, and opportunities for professional growth.
- Clinical Expertise: Maintain a strong clinical knowledge base and stay abreast of the latest advancements in emergency medicine practices and technologies. Ensure the ED team is equipped with the necessary skills to provide top-notch care.
- Resource Management: Effectively manage the department's budget, ensuring financial sustainability and responsible resource allocation. Optimize staffing levels to meet patient demand and ensure efficient operations.
- Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with physicians, other departments, and stakeholders to ensure seamless patient care and organizational success. Act as a liaison between the ED and other areas of the hospital.
- Performance Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction. Monitor key performance indicators and implement evidence-based practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Emergency Preparedness: Ensure the ED is prepared to handle a variety of emergencies, including mass casualty incidents and natural disasters. Develop and implement emergency response plans and protocols.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience: 5+ years of nursing experience with a focus on progressive leadership roles.
- Licensure: Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License
- Certification: Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Formal coursework in management, finance, and other administrative subjects.
- Upon hire: National Certification from a recognized professional organization in a relevant field of clinical expertise (e.g., CEN - Certified Emergency Nurse).
- Management experience in an emergency department or a related clinical setting.
