Empowered Staffing is partnered with a leading drug rehabilitation company known for its cutting-edge approach to substance abuse treatment. The company is opening up a brand-new residential and detox program in Mishawaka and is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join their team!
As a Nurse Practitioner, you’ll have the chance to make a lasting impact by providing high-quality care to individuals on their journey to recovery. This role involves conducting patient assessments, developing treatment plans, administering medications, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to promote holistic recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including physical exams and medical histories, to determine the appropriate course of care.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with substance use disorders, including medication management and therapeutic interventions.
Administer and monitor medications for detoxification, withdrawal management, and ongoing treatment, including MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) for opioid use disorder.
Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding addiction, recovery processes, medications, and lifestyle changes.
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document all care in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and contribute to treatment planning.
Provide crisis intervention and address acute patient needs as necessary.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in the state of Indiana
Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is preferred
Experience in addiction medicine, behavioral health, or a related field is highly desirable
Knowledge of medication-assisted treatments (MAT) and withdrawal management protocols
