Imaging & Interventional Specialists is looking for a suitable Nurse Practitioner to join their exciting practice that offers cutting edge treatments in a clinic setting. We perform simple to complex procedures and you will be involved in performing some of them (once trained and proctored) and assisting.
* Some Saturdays 8am-3pm and some weekdays (depending on you availability)
* Involved in and performs certain procedures including cutting edge (see our website)
* Provides direct care and assisists & performs procedures including cutting-edge IR procedures once trained and proctored.
* Carries out orders including cutting edge procedures that are authorized by the physician supervisor.
* Performs medical histories on patients and completes necessary paperwork on them.
* Performs medical follow up on clinic patients
* Evaluates and provides care to patients per SOP within scope of practice
* Discuss cutting edge procedures inclusing Y90's, MWAs rounds on inpatients in consulation with physician supervisor
* Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
* Serves and protects the medical practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
* Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
* Provides excellent patient careas per company and regulatory requirements under direct supervision of a board-certified Interventional Radiologist (supervising physician).
* Assures that the patient’s treatment is monitored and coordinated in concert with the Organization’s clinical policies, and guidelines.
* Assures that medical record documentation of care meets established clinical quality and compliance standards.
* Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens; promoting wellness and health maintenance.
* Adheres to Medical Board requirements for supervision.
* Contributes to physician's effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues that must be addressed; providing information and commentary pertinent to deliberations; recommending options and courses of action; implementing physician directives.
* Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
* Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
* Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
* Develops health care team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
SCHEDULE:
* Part time and PRN
PAY:
· $40 - 80 per hour with bonuses to $110 per hour
REQUIREMENTS:
* TX STATE LICENSE ACCEPTED
* Minimum 1 year of experience
* The Provider shall be currently licensed in and a member of TX State medical board providing licensure for NPs. A temporary license will not be accepted. Provider shall meet continuing education requirements for the State(s) licensed in.
* The NP must not have been convicted of, or pled guilty to, or pled nolo contendre to, or received probation before judgment for any crime other than a minor traffic violation the record of which has not been expunged.
