About the Job
We are seeking a Full-Time licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established Rheumatology care center in Colonial Heights, VA, a suburb of Richmond and one of the best places to live in Virginia. Our office is conveniently located near highway I-95 and we have served patients in the Richmond Tri-cities area for over 20 years.
Our AARA care center has 2 Physicians, 2 Advanced Practice Providers, 11 exam rooms, a state-of-the-art Infusion Suite with 6 chairs, labs, ultrasound guided injections, joint and trigger injections, X-rays, DEXA, clinical research trails, and a dedicated staff. We specialize in treating general Rheumatology, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis, Gout, Osteoporosis, Lupus, Sjogren's Syndrome, Vasculitis, and more.

A Day in the life of a Rheumatology APP
Responsibilities:
- Examine patients and their medical records
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
- Diagnose and Propose treatments for autoimmune and arthritic diseases
- Prescribe medications and IV Infusion Treatments
- Maintain accurate records and schedules
- Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
- Educate patients and their family members on diseases and treatment plans
- Oversee patients overall health
- Promote good health practices
- Advance professional knowledge and conduct research
- Other duties as assigned by collaborating physician
Requirements:
- New grads and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Rheumatology, Orthopedics, Orthopedic Surgery, Internal Medicine are welcome to apply
- Bilingual: Fluent in Spanish and English a plus
- Hospital Rounding and Call rotation
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
- Excellent communication skills - verbal, and written
- Strong ethics, integrity, and reliable
- Team player with a positive attitude, patience and optimism
- Exhibits curiosity and a willingness to learn
- Valid Virginia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant & DEA license
