Nurse Unit Manager - Hillstone Healthcare NWO

Nurse Unit Manager Summary: The Nurse Unit Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day patient care, as well as supervising, directing, and developing the nurse staff. This is a Full-Time, Salaried position. The Unit Manager will report to the Assistant Director of Nursing and the Director of Nursing.

Nurse Unit Manager Duties & Responsibilities:

• Manage the care of all residents within unit as it relates to patient care fundamentals, food and fluid consumption, pain management, and social engagement amoung residents, staff, and visitors.
• Supervises care provided by Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) or State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNA) to ensure policies and procedures established by the facility, and regulations set by the Federal and State Agencies are met.
• Conducts proper investigations on allegations of abuse or neglect of residents and report them to the facilities ADON and DON.
• Attend morning clinical review meetings, corporate clinical review meetings, and other meetings pertaining to patient care.
• Review residents change of condition reports daily ensuring the necessary inquiries are made to physicians and family members, and that they are notified of changes. 
• Review medical records and ensure clinical documentation  is completed and in place based upon facility, state, and federal regulations and policies.

Nurse Unit Manager Qualifications:

• Valid and Active Nursing license for the State of Ohio
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations
• Minimum of 1 years experience in leadership 
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in which 1 year must have been in the LTC environment
