M Health Fairview is looking for a Nursing Station Attendant in the Emergency Department (ED) at Northland Medical Center in Princeton, MN. M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center is conveniently located on Hwy 169 in Princeton, Minnesota. We serve a broad community, including Princeton and the surrounding area to provide convenient access to expert, coordinated care. Schedule:This position will be working 0.6 FTE (48 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours on the Day shift with an everythird weekend (F,S,S) rotation and a holiday rotation.

Emergency services:
- Level IV trauma center and is also Stroke ready Designated by the MN Department of Health.
- The department’s bed capacity is 17 which includes 2 trauma/critical care rooms, 2 behavioral health rooms.
- We also treat our infusion patients after hours and weekends, when our infusion department is closed.
- We consult with DEC for our behavioral patients and SANE for our forensic examinations.

Responsibilities/Job Description:- Demonstrates commitment to the universal guiding principles of the patient care model
- Supports the Nursing Process to achieve outcome focused patient care.
- Communicates accurately and effectively with patient/family and health care team members. Reinforces patient education as directed by clinical staff.
- Achieves customer service excellence by understanding the needs of all internal and external customers, patients, families, physicians and the interdependent team.
- Documents patient information in EHR and/or other electronic system in accordance with program standards, department policies/procedures.
- Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
- Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements.
- Will assist with performing EKG's and unit coordinator duties
- Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned.
Required:
License/Certification/Registration
- 1-2 years in a healthcare setting preferred
- Six months of recent direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting. (Appropriate roles may include, Nursing Assistant, PCA, Resident Assistant or Emergency Room Technician)
OR
- Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, and completion of one (1) semester of clinical rotation within the program
OR
- Current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire. This requirement does not need to be maintained throughout employment and is not required if subsequently transferring into another Nursing Assistant or Nursing Station Tech or Nursing Station Attendant position (exception: MHealth Fairview West Bank Nursing Assistants)
- NOTE: Individuals who have completed a Nursing Assistant program and are scheduled to take the NA Registry exam will be granted 90 days post hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry. (Exception: M Health Fairview West Bank Nursing Assistants must be on the Nursing Assistant Registry upon hire)
- Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required. Ontrack participants much be able to obtain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification upon completion of the OnTrack program.
