Virtus Healthcare Staffing is proud to be engaged in a search for an experienced Nursing Supervisor on behalf of our partner, a well-respected regional hospital located in Ottumwa, IA. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated nursing professional to lead and inspire a team within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and supervision to the nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care is delivered in alignment with hospital standards and policies.
• Oversee daily operations within the nursing unit, managing staff schedules, patient care plans, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement strategies that enhance patient care and improve outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in nursing care.
• Act as a mentor and role model to nursing staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Experience: A minimum of three years of clinical experience in an acute care setting is required, with two to three years of previous management experience strongly preferred.
• Licensure: A current Iowa Registered Nurse License is required.
• Certifications:
  • Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.
  • Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
