**UW Medical Center-Montlake - Rehabilitation Therapies** has an outstanding opportunity for a **OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - INPATIENT** **WORK SCHEDULE**
- FULL-TIME; 100% FTE; 40 hours per week
- Day Shift
**POSITION HIGHLIGHTS**
This role performs occupational therapy treatments and related duties as prescribed by an MD, DO, DDS, PA, ARNP, podiatrist, chiropractor or naturopathic physician. Assigned patients may be hospital inpatients.

**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Evaluate and treat patients with a variety of physical and mental impairments to achieve maximum functional capacity;
+ Confer with medical and other staff members to determine occupational therapy program for individual patients; select situations or activities which require desired motions or actions or help modify behavior and teach the skills necessary to the activity;
+ Report data in both written and oral form following policies and procedures;
+ Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team and work with patient and family in developing treatment goals and evaluating patient progress;
+ Provide treatment and training to increase daily living skills;
+ Attend and participate in medical rounds and professional meetings with medical consultants;
+ Maintain service related records; adhere to documentation requirements for reimbursement purposes;
+ Evaluate and recommend modifications to community, home and work sites.
+ Adapt and fabricate basic orthotic devices and therapeutic equipment;
+ Recommend and issue occupational therapy materials and equipment;
+ Maintain a clean, safe working environment;May provide work direction and instruction to occupational therapist students, occupational therapy assistants, and other personnel in performance of therapeutic activities; and
+ Perform related duties as required. **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** - Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and successful completion of American Occupational Therapy certification examination.OR- Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification or registration.- Licensed by the state of Washington as an Occupational Therapist **ABOUT UW MEDICAL CENTER-NORTHWEST** UW Medical Center is an acute care hospital located in Seattle with two campuses: Montlake and Northwest.
