We are looking for an OR Tech to join our team of aesthetic professionals at Plastic Surgery Associates & Allegro MedSpa in Santa Rosa, CA. This clinic serves clients from Sonoma, Napa, and Marin counties, and we are proud to have nationally recognized board-certified plastic surgeons who provide the highest quality of patient care and exceptional results.
As a surgical tech, you will assist surgeons, nurses, and other members of our clinical team in the operating room. This role will ensure safety and follow proper protocol of sterilization care for all surgeries. Our ideal Certified Surgical Technician (CST) is a team player who can complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

The role works through the full patient experience; pre-procedure, intra-procedure, post-procedure.
Responsibilities
- Assists physician where needed
- Executes preparation of instruments, equipment, and operating room
- Communicates treatment plan with supervising medical staff member
- Verifies the correct patient, correct surgery, and surgery site, with the surgical team in the OR
- Assures that all drugs off and on the sterile field are labeled
- Assures that tumescent labeling is accurate and legible
- Cleans and sterilizes the operating room and instruments
- Explains treatment procedures, medications, and Physician"s instructions to patients and caregiver(s)
- Assists in discharging patients to caregiver(s)
- Assists in returning all patient phone messages
- Audits patient records
- Schedules follow-up appointments with patients
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved course for OR Surgical Technologists or equivalent training required
- Surgical Technologist Certification preferred and/or equivalent training (CST)
- BLS Required
- 5+ years of surgical scrub experience is required
- Technical training to include aseptic technique and sterile processing required
- Extensive knowledge of instrumentation and equipment required for multiple specialties required
- Extensive knowledge regarding sterile processing requirements required
- An excellent understanding of infection control processes required
- Ability to communicate well with other healthcare professionals as well as with lay persons required
- Ability to operate and trouble-shoot surgical equipment required
- Must be able to operate washer decontaminators, autoclaves, and other sterilizing equipment
- Computer skills are required
