About the Job
The Occupational Health Nurse provides on-site preventative health care for employees. They work closely with employers to ensure that health and safety standards are met, and are instrumental in maintaining optimal employee health.
Responsibilities include:
· Providing prompt, appropriate clinical care to all employees in conformance with company policies, clinical protocols, state regulations and ethical standards. This includes worksite injury/illness triage, treatment coordination with the Wellness Center, and referral to specialists as necessary.
· Documenting all clinical care in the appropriate medical format in the provided electronic medical record.
· Recording of vital signs, audiograms, vision testing, urine collection, blood collection, spirometry, respirator fit testing, injections and basic first aid.
Ideal applicants will have:
- Minimum 1 year related nursing experience (clinic, occupational health, emergency/urgent care, acute care, internal medicine, community health).
- Current State Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) licensure.
- A comprehensive understanding of the patient care procedures, medical protocols, and testing procedures necessary to support an Occupational Health clinic.
Valid RN or LPN licensure within Client state.
