About the Job
Ocqueoc Baptist Church (Millersburg, MI) – Pastor
The Big Picture
Ocqueoc Baptist Church (ocqueocbaptist.com/about/) is seeking a Pastor to preach the Word, shepherd the saints and reach the lost.
Requirements
The Church
Ocqueoc Baptist is an Independent Fundamental Baptist church. This means it is not associated with any fellowship of churches, it stands for the historic fundamentals of the faith and it is distinctively Biblical in its beliefs and practices. Its goal is to equip and encourage the saints to do the work of the ministry which includes evangelizing the lost by sharing with them the good news that Jesus Christ alone saves from sin. Ocqueoc Baptist’s services are traditional and conservative yet innovative and practical. Its members are friendly and make visitors feel at home.
The Qualifications
We require a man that meets the qualifications in I Timothy and Titus. He must be a humble shepherd and yet bold to minister the Word of God without compromise. As a leader he must possess wisdom to organize and encourage the elders to achieve the vision of the church. The opening is for a person who is committed to reflect the Lord Jesus Christ in their action and not in word only. A small-town ministry is a challenge and would require a soldier of the cross.
