This Office Assistant position serves a critical need during tax season and is the first point of contact in the office. If you have a warm, welcoming presence and a desire to learn new things, then this role may be a perfect fit. Responsibilities include:

• Answering, screening, and transferring inbound phone calls
• Scanning documents
• Printing, assembling & mailing tax returns
• Greeting & directing visitors and clients
• Sending statements to clients via mail and/or electronically
• Performing general clerical duties including photocopying, fax, and mailing
• Maintaining an electronic and hard copy filing system
• Resolving administrative problems and inquiries
• Preparing & modifying documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and email
• Opening, sorting & distributing incoming correspondence
• Maintaining office supply inventories

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including light Excel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good telephone communication etiquette
• Strong organizational skills
• Customer-focused
• Ability to handle office equipment (e.g. phones, printer, fax machine)

The Office Assistant role is a contract position for 3-4 months. Part-time 20-24 hours per week through at least April, on-site in Westfield. The pay rate is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on experience. Interested or want to learn more? Reach out or apply today!
