About This Role
The Office Specialist manages the Student Belonging & Inclusion Office and provides administrative support to departmental staff, including the Associate Vice President of Student Belonging & Inclusion, Directors and other staff members. The Office Specialist will be the office receptionist and have daily involvement with multiple clients, including students, parents, faculty and staff, and the general public.

As part of the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs (DASSA), the Student Belonging & Inclusion Office (SBI) works to provide an impactful and holistic K-State experience by closely aligning student life resources with academic support programs and services. SBI partners across all sectors of the university to foster an atmosphere in which all students are supported, celebrated, and included.
Worksite Option
This position is on-site. This role is expected to be performed on-site Monday-Friday.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or higher
- Three (3) years of experience in general office or clerical work.
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office assistant.
- Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Knowledge of office equipment (copiers, printers, fax machine, etc.)
- Knowledge of procurement practices and procedures, including university policies and regulations.
- Knowledge and experience in higher education.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, accuracy, proofreading, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.
- Excellent skills in time management and the ability to prioritize work. Includes a high level of initiative in completing duties quickly and accurately.
- Excellent skills in management techniques that foster teamwork, creativity, and problem solving.
- Ability to work with critical deadlines and perform multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in written form.

Anticipated Hiring Pay Range
$14.54 - $18.17 per hour
