Office Support Clerk - Part-Time Troy Results Program - Oakland County, Michigan Government

Hours: 6:30AM-2:00 PM, 11:00AM-7:30PM. Weekends 6:30AM-1:30PM Monday -Sunday

General Summary:

Under direct supervision, performs office duties of moderate difficulty in an office environment. Assists clients with enrolling into court ordered drug testing, data input of testing and answering questions related to the Results Program.  Communicates with the public using tact and diplomacy. Is familiar with the operation of MicroSoft Office software and with software applications specific to a department. Using a computer, searches and retrieves records, inputs data, and compares to source documents to detect errors or omissions and corrects as necessary for complete accuracy. Produces memos, labels, envelopes, and correctly formatted documents. Exercises judgement and knowledge obtained on the job and takes corrective action on unusual deviations from office practices. Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to complete assignments.

Required Minimum Qualifications:

At the time of application, applicants must:

1. Be a high school graduate or have a certificate of successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) Test.
2. Have had at least six (6) months of full-time clerical work experience.
3. Pass the total examination, including the employment medical, established for this classification.

Special Requirements:

1. Must submit to immunizations as required, as well as to tuberculin skin tests or chest X-rays at County expense.

 

2. A background investigation will be conducted covering an evaluation of employment, school, home, criminal, military, or other personal records. Any conviction or convictions for moving traffic violations, accidents, non-moving traffic violations, or violations of other laws will be reviewed by the Sheriff Office before an applicant can be appointed. Information obtained during the background investigation will be considered in the hiring decision. Convictions of the Domestic Violence Statute will be a disqualifying factor.

 

Pay Range:USD $16.48 - USD $22.30 /Hr.EEO Statement:
