Physician Assistant - Cardiothoracic Surgery

SSM Health-Dean Medical Group, a 500-physician multi-specialty group, is actively recruiting an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant to work in our well-established Cardiothoracic Surgery Department. The department currently consists of 3 physicians and 6 APs.

Must have at least one year of experience practicing as a surgical Physician Assistant and a strong attraction to the operating room. Must be able to function in a high-stress environment and thrive within a team approach model.

The new provider's responsibilities will include assisting in the operating room (including endoscopic and open vein and radial artery harvesting); patient care on the Cardiothoracic Surgery in-patient unit; night call on weeknights and weekends (approximately 1 in 5 for each) for floor patients and for the operating room; and rare outpatient clinic care. Our teams include leading cardiologists, electrophysiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons - all providing the most innovative inpatient heart care.

Opportunity Highlights:

• Hours vary between 7am-5pm, 5 days a week with rotating weekend hours
