Onsite Service Technician
12+ month w2 contract

Responsibilities:
- Create, receive, monitor, maintain, and resolve work tickets.
- Image, set up, and support computers, monitors, and mobile devices.
- Maintain an on-site presence at designated service locations to support end users.
- Install and support software, ensuring compliance with Schneider standards.
- Perform proactive and on-demand health checks of IT systems, including printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, and video conference equipment.
- Train end users on operating office automation equipment as requested.
- Conduct new hire orientations, including daily IT asset usage and briefing on Schneider policies such as security and usage.
- Troubleshoot and manage hardware and software platforms.
- Perform secure password management for all provided passwords.
- Support access to corporate networks/wireless and applications, both on-network and over VPN.
- Coordinate task execution with guidance from Service Desk representatives or other IT support groups.
- Manage IT inventory, including moving, sorting, cleaning, and stocking.
- Identify, gain approval for, and enter all projects assigned by your manager into the project tracker.
- Assist with regional projects for designated service locations, acting as local hands-on support.
Expected Behaviors and Support Model Process:
- Collaborate with Tech Partners at the same site to support the local user group and monitor shared ticket queues, including Onsite Support US L2, CA L2, MX L2, and Legacy ticket queues. Ensure tickets are always updated with a status.
- Serve as backup support for Tech Partners when they are away from the office, updating them and the manager on the status of work logs and tickets. Inform the manager of any planned or unplanned leave to ensure proper support and coverage.
- Share equal responsibility with Tech Partners for managing and supporting IT assets at the assigned location. Respond to facility notifications regarding IT assets and ensure tickets are assigned before asset delivery.
- Share ADM permissions to support users and facilitate infrastructure and operational team needs.
- Have physical access to MDF/IDF and other areas such as conference rooms and storage rooms as required by duties.
- Participate in local and regional project tasks as assigned and approved by the manager.
Qualifications:
- Ideally 2+ years of experience, but open to fresh graduates and technicians with certifications (Google IT Certification and CompTIA A+)
