About the Job
Overview:
This position is for an Operations Analyst in support of the Temporary Services.
In ths role the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- the establishment, processing, status, and troubleshooting of Temporary Services processes.
- the department's Capital Equipment, Government and Company owned Special Property, and calibrated tools.
- the Self-Assessment Performance Improvement (SAPIP) Program, Overhead Work Orders (OWO), Direct Work Orders, and Plant Engineering Work Orders.
- ordering department materials and submitting facilities UNSATS.
The successful candidate will be expected to be aware of, and in compliance with the attributes of Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule, and Process Improvements as they apply to their position.
In order to perform these functions, the successful candidate will be required to interface with Operations, Engineering, Design, Material Systems and SupShip Groton.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- Order Service Material
- Order Trade Tooling
- Maintain status of Blanket Purchase Orders
- Work with Trades for Process Improvements
- Submit Special Property Request
- Submit Capital Project Request
- Submit Lease Project Request
- Submit Facilities UNSATS for facility/equipment issues
- Submit Stocked Material Request
- Submit Hazardous Material Usage Approval Request
- Submit New EB Part request
- Support Special Property Audits and Inventories
- Submit Surplus Property Declarations
- Draft Event Reports
- Perform Cost Analysis
- Schedule and Facilitate dept. safety meetings
- Review Work Scope and provide cost estimates
- Coordinate vendor service
- Coordinate onsite training
- Work with vendor on new product
- Provide electrical and mechanical support as needed with welding equipment
- Act as Project Manager for equipment moves and new installs
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- College degree and minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing planning position - OR – High School Diploma or GED and minimum 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing planning position.
- Experience utilizing process improvement strategies.
- Experience with Project Management tools and strategies.
Preferred:
- Lean Six Sigma Certification
- Experience with welding and welding equipment
- Navy Experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- computer skills
