We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Operations & Business Technology Liaison & Project Delivery to join our Market Operations team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA, and will work a Hybrid schedule (3 days per week in-office required).
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- The group – Trade Lifecycle Management (TLM) – manages end to end operational project delivery and has engineering/development oversight for some Markets applications
- In addition to supporting operational deliveries and automation, this group also supports business and clients with commercial deliveries:
- New product support and delivery
- Revenue opportunities
- Client experience and growth
- You will work in an agile environment, that focuses on:
- Project delivery
- Business analysis and requirements gathering
- Testing
- Operational readiness and support
- Operational efficiencies
- Manual process remediation
- Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income & Equities
- Participates in the development of functional or operational requirements
- Participates in process improvement reviews and summarizes business issues and client feedback for teams review
- Uses defined or documented processes to collect and define requirements from businesses or functional areas
- Pro-actively identify opportunities for improvement in operational process, client experience and business growth
- Uses knowledge of business needs to provide design support to software and application development teams
- Tasks include case development, requirement traceability, analysis, test script writing and preparation, test execution and validation
- Supports testing of new or enhanced process(es), functionality, applications and/or systems
- Key role in ensuring operational readiness across the teams before any production implementation(s)
- Interfaces with all areas of IT on behalf of the business to resolve IT matters and improve operational and business processes
- Uses basic knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and BNY Mellon corporate policies involving risk and control to support the development of improved business processes through technology
- Understands and follows procedures, policy and governance associated with responsibilities and the role.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- 0-3 years of total work experience preferred
- Technical experience preferred
- Aspects of project work with a background of execution and delivery
- Foreign Exchange product knowledge
- Prior work experience in an Agile environment
- Preferred:
- Alteryx
- Power BI
- Tableau
- SQL
- UI Path
- Custody knowledge
- Fixed Income & Equites product knowledge
