The target salary range for this position is $81,400.00 - $106,837.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. Responsibilities:
- Management and Oversight: Manage the policy processing department to ensure efficient and accurate processing of insurance policies in line with company and regulatory standards.
- Staff Supervision: Provide guidance to policy processing staff, including training, performance evaluations, and resolving processing issues or discrepancies.
- Policy Issuance: Ensure the timely issuance of insurance policies by verifying applications, underwriting criteria, and documentation.
- Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to maintain the accuracy and completeness of policy documents and ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on insurance regulations and industry standards, ensuring policy processing activities comply with all requirements.
- Customer Service: Address customer inquiries and issues related to policy processing, collaborating with customer service and claims departments to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Data Management: Manage and maintain accurate and secure policy data and records, both electronic and physical.
- Performance Analysis: Generate and analyze reports on policy processing metrics to monitor department performance and identify improvement areas.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work with underwriting, claims, sales, and IT teams to streamline processes, resolve issues, and align with company objectives.
- Staff Development: Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their understanding of insurance products, policies, and procedures.
- Audit Assistance: Assist with internal and external audits of policy processing activities, providing necessary documentation and responses to inquiries.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Insurance Business Operations or Claims Policy Processing with 3 years of experience as supervisor or lead is preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred; Business Operations, Sales, Business Administration preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Preferred: Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR)
