We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Operations Manager to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This role will provide you with an opportunity to lead and manage all aspects of our food manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, implementing process improvements, and ensuring the team's productivity is maximized. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, process improvement, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing, and team leadership. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional looking to make a significant impact on the success of our company.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the food manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency and productivity overseeing Production, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.
2. Accountable for cost management, including equipment efficiencies, waste, direct labor and materials, while generating reports on financial targets and KPI's.
3. Utilize Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance operational effectiveness.
4. Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
5. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
6. Monitor and control operational costs to ensure profitability and financial sustainability.
7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless and efficient workflow.
8. Manage and resolve any operational issues that may arise, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
9. Monitor and analyze key operational metrics, providing regular reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in management, in the food manufacturing/foodservice/retail manufacturing
2. Proven experience in process improvement, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing.
3. Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound operational decisions.
5. Strong knowledge of industry regulations and operational best practices.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and metrics.
8. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
