We are looking for a Operations Reliability Technician to join our team.
The Operations Reliability Technician will be responsible for assisting the Sr Maintenance Manager with continuous improvement activity throughout all EA Sween facilities. As the subject matter expert on various equipment, this position will assist in coaching all levels of the team including operator and technician on equipment PM based standard work, lessons learned from failures, trained trainer activities, execution of Preventative, Predictive, and Corrective maintenance work on the area of expertise as needed to drive continuous OEE improvement. This position will complete root cause analysis using basic fishbone concepts to understand failure modes and make recommendations to improve preventative programs to prevent failures.

Essential Competencies of the Role:
PREVENTIVE/PREDICTIVE MAINTENANCE
- Implement a world-class, preventive/predictive maintenance framework and best practices across
- Work with Maintenance Planner to ensure timely execution of Preventative Maintenance and other work orders
- Maximizing the maintenance teams’ operating efficiency, troubleshooting, root-cause investigation, countermeasure implementation, preventive/predictive maintenance activities while contributing to internal projects as well
- Oversight of maintenance contracts and vendor relations
LOGICAL THINKING AND ORGANIZATIONAL SKILS
- The reliability engineer needs to be a logical thinker with excellent organizational skills to accomplish these dimensions of the role: professional and systematic building of the asset operating plan and the risk management plan; ensuring standardization of processes and procedures for proper operation and operator care of production assets; and anticipating reliability and nonreliability related risks that could affect plant operations.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT/LEAN INITIATIVES
- Foster a collaborative culture with the Operations team focused on implementing sustainable improvements to maximize machine uptime/Overall Equipment Efficiency and continuous improvement of maintenance practices and fundamentals.
- Develop department KPIs and utilize the data from Asset Essentials (CMMS) and Redzone (Operations Management tool) to improve department effectiveness (including safety, reliability, productivity, and quality)
PROBLEM SOLVING
- Tackles and solves frequent problems that can arise in a typical workday. Identifies a certain problem or situation and then finds the best way to handle the problem and get the best solution. Able to sort things out even when the prevailing conditions are not right.
FOOD SAFETY
- Assures team members are following Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure we produce safe quality food.
- Work to ensure all corrective actions from all audits are completed and reviewed.
- Ensures the company actively maintains the facility and prioritizes repairs to the facility and equipment based on food safety risk to product or process.
- Comply with food safety regulations, and current Good Manufacturing Practices to result in the delivery of safe food products.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience
- Must have knowledge and practical application of Predictive Technologies and expertise in driving CI activities.
- Associate degree (AA) or equivalent combination of education, training and/or technical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturing industry experience required - Food industry experience strongly preferred
- Lean manufacturing experience
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems, analyze complex processes, synthesize data and results, and drive toward insight and solutions
- Able to identify significant deviations from the operating plan and budget and work with site leaders to identify corrective actions using appropriate continuous improvement tools (kaizen, visual systems, 6S, gemba, six sigma, LEAN, etc)
- Proficient knowledge of food manufacturing, food safety, FDA/USDA, and OSHA
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and experience with CMMS

- While performing the duties of this job, must be able to work in cool conditions of up to 50 degrees up to 20% of the time
- The employee frequently is required to stand or walk the majority of the day; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach overhead with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as well as the ability to bend, twist, turn, push, pull.
- The employee on occasion will lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
