Summary
Seeking a local student Co-Op to join our Operations Team in Milpitas, to collaborate closely with our Sr. Operations Manager in overseeing the organization's daily operations. This presents a fantastic opportunity for a business or technical student to gain experience in a cutting-edge environment and understand the intricacies of managing a manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will start in January 2025 and continue working full time through June 2025, accommodating their academic schedule.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitoring of capacity and inventory levels for Assembly and materials
• Standardization of SAP/Barcode flow/process steps
• Reporting of downtime on bottleneck tools
• Collection and analysis of production process yield data
• Data analysis for production processes
• Optimization of inventory tracking process with SAP/Barcode Scanning system
• Ensuring accessibility of information by sorting and filing documents
Requirements
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate (BA/BS) Engineering degree program, preferably Industrial or Systems Engineering from an accredited institution
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Demonstrates soft skills such as being a self-starter, proficient in time management, problem-solving, adaptable, curious, and a team player
• Detail-oriented
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Capability to multitask
• Strong problem-analysis and solving skills
• While not mandatory, familiarity with CAD software is an advantage
***Because this position is within our Skyworks Defense and Space business where we have contracts with the US government, qualified candidates must have US Worker status. The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
